About Project

American Real Estate Partners joined with the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) to redevelop AMT’s home into a new, 200,000 SF trophy office building. The site is located at 7901 Westpark Drive in Tysons Corner, a quarter mile from the Metro’s Silver Line Station.

About Project

Pedestrians and Metro riders will be welcomed on the west side of the building into a large urban plaza of dramatic stepped terraces integrated with landscaped areas, while those arriving by car gain access on the east side of the building, which will connect to a landscaped vehicular drop-off area and ground-level retail plaza that activates the streetscape and enhances pedestrian experience. Building amenities include a world-class conference center, higher ceiling heights on the topmost floor, and a rooftop terrace open to panoramic views of Tysons Corner and the Washington DC metropolitan area.
The building skin is a high-performance, energy-efficient curtain wall utilizing a four-way, butt-glazed system for a modern, stream-lined look. The main body of the building will be clad in glass that will gathers and reflects the sky even on overcast days. On the west façade, vertical metal bands that fold into the roof’s glazed feature canopy will shade the interior space from the afternoon sun. The plinth will present a transparent wall to the street, allowing visual access to retail and the breakout areas of the conference center. The parking garage is mostly underground, with access provided at the top level from the southeast side of Westpark Drive.
