KGD Architecture is an award-winning full service design firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., with offices around the world.

1995

Kishimoto.Gordon PC established as a Professional Corporation in McLean, Virginia.

1998

Moved office to 1451 Dolley Madison Boulevard.

1999

Bethesda Place II completed

1999

Rehau North American Headquarters completed

2000

Tower Building completed

2003

Name change to Kishimoto.Gordon.Dalaya PC with the addition of Mr. Dalaya as Principal and equal shareholder.

2008

Moved office to Rosslyn, Virginia. The new space wins Virginia AIA Award for Best Office design.

2008

2001 Tower Oaks Boulevard completed.

2008

NRUCFC Headquarters completed.

2011

The Aerospace Corporation East Coast Campus is completed.

2012

Henry Mahns named Principal and shareholder

2015

Tom Donaghy named Principal and shareholder

2016

Ben Kishimoto steps aside for Chris Gordon and Manoj Dalaya to be named Co-Presidents. Ben Kishimoto continues as Treasurer/Secretary of the corporation and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

2018

Moved headquarters office to downtown Washington DC.

2021

IDA (Institute for Defense Analyses) completed.

2022

KGD in partnership with Moody Nolan are awarded Howard University’s Communications and Art Center.

Resiliency & wellbeing

Today, KGD Architecture has ten LEED APs on staff, representing the BD+C, ID+C, and O+M specializations and three Green Associates. Mechanical Engineer Shane Trexler, LEED AP O+M is our in-house sustainability engineer, advising the range of performance options available for a given project.
