On Thursday, November 3, check out two breakout sessions for ArchEx 2023: Collaboration & Connectivity in Richmond and meet our fellow KGD colleagues. The first is being led by KGD Principal & Co-President Manoj Dalaya, FAIA, with Associate Marium Rahman, AIA, and members from the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) Headquarters team. This session will address the importance of a connected and engaging workplace from the owner’s perspective, including how the architect can lead the dialogue between the owner and consultants to shape a modern workplace. It features a case study of IDA’s new headquarters that serves their 1,000 employees with a focus on art, lighting, and wellness as counterpoints to the data-driven, high-security culture, providing relief and amplifying the capacity of the employees to achieve their mission. The second includes KGD Architectural Designer Ava Helm participating in her Emerging Leaders in Architecture (ELA) Class presentation as she and her classmates gets ready to officially graduate from the program.
