KGD Associate Principal Alex Shifflett and Senior Associate Leah Kleinman attended the 2026 Seabury Leadership in Aging gala, hosted at THE SPACE on September 10. Leadership in Aging has been Seabury Resources for Aging’s premier signature event, bringing together leaders, advocates, philanthropists, and community partners from across the Washington, DC region to celebrate innovation, leadership, and the power of community in aging well. It also featured a performance from The MC Steppers, Seabury's very own dance troupe!

KGD was a community supporter for this year's event. Seabury Resources is dedicated to empowering older adults and their families by providing innovative services and programs that promote independence, community engagement, and wellbeing. With decades of experience, Seabury is a trusted partner in addressing the unique needs of older adults in our community.

It is also worth noting that at present, KGD is collaborating with Seabury Resources for Aging for the Springvale Terrace Redevelopment in Silver Spring, Maryland. This project is a partnership alongside Enterprise Community Development to redevelop an aging 1960s senior housing community into a new 236-unit affordable independent and assisted living facility named The Springvale. KGD is serving as the primary architect; Seabury Resources for Aging is coordinating resident services.
