KGD Architecture is a design practice with architecture, planning and interiors with global reach. Our interns represent the top emerging talent from schools worldwide. Internships provide an immersive experience in a professional setting and can serve as a stepping-stone to a full-time position or career opportunity. Internships in each of our offices provide unique hands-on experience in real projects, working side-by-side with our design teams and clients.

This paid Research Internship offers compensation of $2,500 to graduate students to work on their area of research along with the opportunity to work on real projects.

This internship is considered a Full-Time Temporary position, subject to the company Personnel Policy Manual (Employee Handbook).

Evaluative Criteria:
• Research subject, student and professional work, awards, public recognition, and/or publication.
• The impact of the award to this recipient will have on our practice and profession.

  • AR/VR Studio with 3D Modelling and Printing.

More About the Internship

  • The internship period occurs during any continuous ten-week period. Due to the Coronavirus impact, we expect that the work will be done on-line.
  • The Research Interns are expected to work 50 % of their time on their research, the other 50 % will be on office projects that align as much as possible with the research being conducted.
  • At the end of the internship, an exhibit / presentation will be arranged for company staff.
  • The work of the internship is considered Work Product of the company and all rights will be held by the company. However, the company will credit the researcher appropriately if the work is published.

Eligibility

  • The application process is open to all students who are, as of the date of
    submission, enrolled in an accredited professional degree program in the field
    of architecture.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or submit a valid work permit
    from the U.S. Department of Immigration with their application.
  • This internship is considered a Full-Time Temporary position, subject to the company Personnel Policy Manual (Employee Handbook).
