Gilliam Place Grand Opening

15 Nov Gilliam Place Grand Opening

The new 173-unit Gilliam Place apartment Complex is now open and accepting residents. The project aims to help mitigate Arlington’s dire affordable housing problem. The reclaimed stone weaved into the architecture of the new development respectfully references the original Presbyterian Church built on this site in 1930. The Gilliam Place was named in honor of Ronda Gilliam, the church’s first African American member, a gentleman who was a church elder, a steward and visionary in the community. The Arlington Presbyterian Church congregation has now a new home on the ground floor spaces of the new apartment building, making this development even so much unique to the local community.
